Our Goals and Thematic Areas
- To improve access to medical sexual reproductive health and rights of women and girls with disabilities.
- To build the capacity of key stakeholders including health workers, medical and social societies organization actors to better understand and take action on the sexual and reproductive health needs of women and girls with disabilities.
- Advocate on inclusive education for children with disabilities.
- Advocate women and girls with disabilities economic empower through vocational skills acquisition.
- Advocate for inclusion, rights and privileges for persons with disabilities.
- Advocate against sexual, gender and disability-based violence against women and girls with disabilities.
- Advocate for inclusion of persons with disabilities in all political processes with reasonable accommodation.
- Advocate for the implementation and domestication of the Discrimination Against Persons With Disabilities (Prohibition) Act 2018, Child Rights Act 2003, Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Act 2015 etc.
- Sensitization of grassroots women and girls with disabilities leadership trainings.
- Sensitization of families of children with disabilities on occupational therapy and coping mechanism.
- We have trained over two hundred women and girls with disabilities in diverse skill acquisitions with financial empowerment to start small scale business, also strategies advocacies on inclusive education and sexual reproductive health advocacy for women and girls with disabilities.
Key Activities
- Advocacy and sensitization programmes on right to health over basic fundamental human right of women and children with disabilities.
- Training of women and children with disability on livelihood schemes or relevant vocational skill acquisition skill in collaboration with development partners including the government.
- Promoting grass root to urban on based communities advocacy programmers that will impact the lives of women and children with disabilities.
- To promote the rights and privileges of women and children with disabilities.
- To provide legal assistance to rights violation of women and children with disabilities.
